Still have question marks over them come finals, but without Richmond being what they were, you can say that about every side that will be contesting it.

Not sure why people think Melbourne are pretenders, opposite of Port, have beaten every opponent in the 8 and haven't conceded more than 11 goals in those games

They’re contenders for sure, but years of soft underbelly make punters cautious.

It's the universal love of Simon Goodwin from posters on this forum. Melbourne are definitely in the mix. The additiin of Mark Williams and Darren Burgess have taken them to the next level.

Same was probably said about Geelong this time of year in 07 after their constant failures when it counted. They're a good team.

I'm amazed that even after all these years Hinkley is still highly regarded amongst some Power folk.

For sure, but it’s been proven right about the Dees for a long time.

Yeah I don't get this either. After. Couple off bad weeks they were gone apparently. They have all the tools there to be contenders.

The doubt comes in from years of being soft when they should have been better. The talent they have in that squad should have lead to a few finals appearances at least.

Still they look good.

Port on the other hand are clearly a 5-8 Side at best.

Clarko has the key, you just need the coin to get him.

Brilliant ploy by Kenny to play one of the best interception defenders in the forward lines and ruck.
The list isn’t the problem, it’s 100% coaching IMO

I reckon you still have 1 if not 2 years left in that window.
I’d be getting a Coach in to fulfill that opportunity ASAP.

I've been flapping my steak mulchers for a few years about this, it's very frustrating, it is why I don't bother being overly passionate about footy, there's no point in me doing my nut in over something I can't influence, I'll just continue to support and cop shit from Crow supporters.

It would have to be immediate for an impact within two years, I really feel for blokes like Boaky and Robbie, they've remained loyal and one club players despite having wads of cash thrown at them and we've failed to reward them with the ultimate prize.

In 1947 they will both feature in the team of their 50 year history.

The new coach isn’t rebuilding just polishing what is there.
Other than the size of the payout to Hinkley I don’t see what there is to lose.

Kochie loves him and I couldn't see the AFL allowing us to pay him out when we're struggling financially.

On the bright side, we've got good kids coming through and we have an excellent culture.

I think he will be elsewhere next season, so old mate Kochie “should” be putting an offer to him now.
