I didn't watch much of the game but Aliir x2 continues to impress me, he's got a good set of mittens on him and I love seeing defenders back themselves to outmark instead of spoiling.

The defence looks slow, one dimensional and vulnerable when he’s not there though.
You need a Hartlett, Bonner, Houston type on the HBF for flexibility as well.
None of the players in defence were willing to kick it through the corridor last night.

Has played every game this year, was just looking like he was "right", clearly needs to be closely managed with his game time.

It’s old school but it still works.

Reckon it would be best implemented occasionally after a point from a set shot where McKenzie could position himself eg goal square for the quick kick out with Port players knowing where the ball will be hit.

Something like McKenzie sets up in the defensive goal square, someone like Dixon sets up in the centre square and if the point is quick McKenzie looks to distribute long and far as quick as possible with the small guys knowing what areas to hit.

Play Hayes, has to happen, been watching a lot of him at SANFL level and I genuinely believe he would be in the top 10 ruck men in game at the moment. If he doesn't get a game this year he is going to seek a trade, no doubt.
