How so?

More confusion, less hope, mentally shagged.

The ongoing effects on this are what worries me. People just don't "get over" this sh1t. Once the rot has settled in, it will take years to get back to feeling normal

I think the idea of feeling or living "normal" again has evaporated. This is it, certainly, in my view, for at least 5 years.
PAFC. Forever.

So your happen with our country / states leaders right now? Pretty much what the others said. No light at the end of the tunnel.

For us in SA it hasn't affected us too much but when its nearly impossible to leave the state with any certainty we're basically on an island inside an island right now. If states insist on restrictions / lockdowns when minimal cases happen and no overseas travel then fixing hotel quarantine should be everyones number 1 priority and its not.

I was just curious - never said I was happy with things, just remember that last year was quite a different beast (feels like a lifetime ago!), personally doesn't feel any worse living day to day than it did last year - but then again i'm not in as vulnerable a position as others might be.

Fair enough. I'm the same, day to day it has barely affected me at all. All it means is I work from home instead of my desk, but I'm in a lucky space. Lets not say 12 months then 3 months ago, across the board the country was nearly 100% open internally now were back here.

Getting back to the point of my first post, I just want to get back to going to watch the footy live and catching up with mates. That and live music, never thought I'd miss being in a mosh pit with sweaty mid 40 yr olds so much.

So, Essendon are in Queensland and the Crows and Power are being sent to Melbourne. Strange days indeed.

I get the frustration people have with organisations like the AFL continuing on.. but if they were to cease to operate, even for a short time, would there not be incredible financial pressure placed on clubs and the AFL as a whole?

Everyone lost money last year, and it was only because the AFL were able to adapt and provide some sort of product that it wasn't worse.

If clubs become bankrupt, there's no coming back from that.. and the long term affects would be huge.

Agree.
The AFL shouldn’t be put above anyone here.
They shouldn’t be playing if businesses can’t trade!
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

No, they don't want to play it now in front of no crowds when there fans missed out last year.

I reckon they know they'll get smashed but would be good to have it with a few friends in the stands.

So from there point of view, why bring it forward.

The problem is SA health don't negotiate with terriorts or football associations.
