If someone is stuck or genuinely in trouble hit me up, no questions asked. Whilst I’m in lockdown I don’t struggle so happy to help someone who may.
Marshall said yesterday that you couldn’t apply for it until next Wednesday and it’s backdated

So let me get this right- people not working because of the Lockdown can apply for to receive a payment after 8 days from yesterday (next Wednesday) and it's backdated to today but you have to live in one of the named hotspots??

Then after 8 days you can apply. It was mentioned it was paid quickly and someone actually had the funds in their account within 3 hours but 24 hours is the expected time

I got word that my daughter might've visited a hotspot on Saturday afternoon, late yesterday (approx 9pm). So we decided to head toward Vic Park. After speaking to someone there (luckily for us) we decided to head to the airport. We waited till 11.15 and realised we had no chance of getting tested before the 11.30 deadline, so we went home.

This morning, at 6am we lined up for testing at our local medical centre and was home by 9.15. We did a driveby to see how long the line is and it's quadruple what it was at 6.

I would've thought in the 12-18 months since the virus was known, we would've managed to get the testing centres more organised and more operating at 24/7 during these situations. I am full of admiration for those working there and we wished them well but it made me think, why can't we repurpose those that are not working, into traffic control or other aspects of the testing station that don't require medical training to ensure these flow freely?

Friends of ours went to another site close to us but lined up in the 'wrong spot' somehow, and went from 3rd in line to 53rd in line.

11:40pm Monday night the testing line at Victoria Park stretched back down Greenhill Road past the Glen Osmand Road lights (sioover 5km), yesterday at 12pm there would have been only 30 cars in line.
