Ill be interested to know the answer to this, seems to be just a tad inconsistent.
I assume you wont have to wear a mask whilst you are seated consuming your food and drink. you could drink at the pub all day/night, mix with many different people up close for extended periods of time and its all ok to do so without a mask. But go to a supermarket where you have "fleeting"contact and you must wear a mask. Dont think there has been a case transmitted in SA in a supermarket yet.

Sit in school all day, must wear a mask, have a beer while your teacher teaches you algebra, all good to not wear a mask? :D

Fair points.
I'm guessing if they have food or drink in front of them while seated they'll be able to have their mask off, get up to leave the room and go in a room where noone else is like the toilet and you'll have to put it on.
Oh well, I'll just say "I don't make the rules" yet again.
Looking forward to counting numbers again and not letting people stay too. Urgh.
At least I have my Cats mask all washed and ready to wear. Looking forward to catching up with my regulars tomorrow arvo!

If it was someone credible maybe, his argument on the relative concentration of gases to negate the global war on warming debate due to the effect of CO2 emissions proves he has no ******* idea. His talent lies in appealing to the lowest common denominator by distorting facts to fit his binary style of argument. His ingrained lack of understanding of likelihood and consequences to understand interventions that are put in place to limit the spread of all viruses makes me chuckle.

He is a wank-stain on the arsehole of humanity. This, from a life long Liberal voter.

Don’t get me wrong, I acknowledge this is costing us and I wish we didn’t have to manage this virus, however I also believe the cost of doing nothing and allowing this to spread uncontrolled would cost far more.

We spend roughly $3.6 Billion per week on health based on the ABS reported figure of $7772 per person spend on health in 2019 across Australia. Times that by 26 Mill and divide by 52.

That $3.6 Billion a week doesn’t account for the flow on effect to the economy of operational expenditure that creates jobs and the over $2 Billion a week that goes in salaries that in turn finds its way back into the economy (yeah I like to buy wine like most of my colleagues in health). I also know there’s a sh!tload of Hospital Execs and Senior Medical Consultants paying luxury sales tax on cars each year and paying GST on top of the range golf clubs and road bikes

So yeah I get that the reported up to $3 Billion alleged spend is costly but I’d like to see the impact of doing nothing and the flow on effect to the economy.

This IMO is the lesser of two evils.

kids are confused,
kids in shops etc must wear a mask if they're 12 or over,
kids in school have to wear a mask if they're in year 8 and over.
Kids in year 8 are 13 and 14.
should be year 7 and over.

Umm yeah not just kids a lot of us are also confused.

Especially with this mask mandate

The holy trinity have decreed that masks must be worn to protect all of us from the invisible enemy lurking in supermarket aisles even after millions of interactions over the last 16 months with hardly any transmissions that i am aware of. :)

This is a question to our foreign correspondent in Victoria Corona Man.

Is it correct that as of 11.59 last night in Victoria after some restrictions have been lifted.

You are now allowed to visit Brothels and bang away at hearts content.

However you are not allowed to.

Visit family or friends for a chat coffee and to see how they are all doing.

Please forward your report.

Schools are generally years reception to Year 7, then Year 8 to Year 12, I guess they are just trying separate Primary School from High School.

I personally would've rather have kept kids out of it, I find it quite eerie walking around when everyone is masked up, I think the petty crime rate will go up and I actually feel like a bit of a villain as I get out of my car to put my mask on to go in a shop.

And the worst part is that the rest of the public miss out on seeing my boyish good looks and warming smile.

Can already say this rule is a shitshow.

Have seen two staff members at our school site this morning ask high-school students to put masks on in an indoor area and have been refused. Education Department directive is there is to be no 'behavioural consequence' for students not wearing masks. Why make the rule in the first place if you don't care if kids adhere to it?

This'll go well

I do generally feel for the teachers heading in today, the government has really placed some undue stress on them with this.

If they felt as though it wasn't safe to go back just yet, they shouldn't have.

Are they trying to ease mask wearing into society full time so they're getting the next generation prepared first?

So many questions, so few logical answers.

I was sitting there pondering last night where would I be and what would things be like if COVID never hit us? Back in 2019 you wouldn't even be able to envisage such a thing, the shops only ran out of dunny paper when they had specials on, you'd just go there the next day or to an alternative shop.

I cant see what benefit exists to do this but I wouldn't also rule this out.

The way the premier spoke it feels like mask wearing might be around for much much longer.

Also on a side note we just got our covid safe plan emailed to us...…...interestingly the capacities they gave us where based on 4sqm not 8sqm so not sure whats going on there.

I have been to four separate SA Gov Health departments today, not one single person was wearing a mask in any of the offices I went to.
Not one.
