And copy everyone in so they know it's not you holding up procedings.
Unfortunately times have changed and you have to do this sort of stuff, gone are the days where people just done the bloke thing and owned their mistakes.
I've gone to my boss previously telling him that I've f******d up and explained what I did and how it will affect us and his immediate reaction is to see where else we could shift the blame.
