England 2/43, need 229 to win with 47 minimum over remaining in the day.

Can't help but think England have shat the bed here, were in a great position before the start of the days play and a bad first session might just be the reason to stop them from winning this match. 229 from 47 overs isn't impossible but I can't see them winning this now. India in the box seat with Root having to do all the work for England again!

Root has to do the hard work to make up for his pathetic captaincy

For Root/England to let Ishant, Shami and Bumrah put on 104 for the last 2 wickets is just ridiculous.

Anderson bowled 3 overs in the first hour. They had duds like Curran bowling

I'll be interested to hear the reasoning behind that. Anderson wicketless aswell doesn't help.

India bowlers test batting averages-
Ishant 8.25
Shami 11.23
Bumrah 3.55

It's basically a miracle those three put on 104 together.

Been watching West Indies v Pakistan. Missed the second test conclusion but the first test was a real nailbiter with the Windies winning by one wicket. Not sure how Pakistan didn't win that one as the Windies looked gone after Holder got out. Seales with a five for helped settle things for the West Indies but skipper Braithwate's 97 set up a thrilling win. Babar the best for the Pakistanis and the extremely eccentric Fahwad stuck around too. Check out his set up when you get the chance, makes Chanderpaul look otrthodox.

regards,

England v India, third test at Headingley.
Kohli won the toss and India will bat first.

Malan and Overton in for Sibley and the injured Wood.
India are unchanged.

Headingly Overcast, dukes ball a very very good bowler

165 tests 628 wickets average 26.5 s/r 56 balls
England 94 tests 399 wickets average 23.5 sr 50 balls

Australia 18 tests 60 wickets average 35 s/r 72 balls
Australia 2010-11 5 tests 24 wickets 26 average s/r 53 balls

I hope he plays all 5 tests apart from one series here he’s been ordinary.

I’m only concerned about Adelaide
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Take out his 07 stats and he has decent stats In Australia. He was by far our best bowler last series here, averaged 27 at a great economy rate. Problem is they just sit on him as the of rest our guys are useless here, such as broad who has been awful in Australia. He’s the best ever in English conditions though, just unbelievable skill.
