Imagine if today’s game was played at Salisbury - would’ve been a riot
Didn't make any difference did it! You can't say there would have been any more or less trouble if is was North, South. East or West. if think they did a reasonable effort to control it, but they continued to serve people Alcohol after half time that had to many drinks. They need to ban all Alcohol at Grand Finals for a start and maybe employ a few more security than 3 or 4 that i could see. If it did erupt to something serious they would have had no chance to control it with that amount of security.
Your reply says it all

Mate you miss the point.
Cry like babies the game is so far away, and there’s trouble. Then you try and flog it off that “oh well there was trouble anyway” .. “shouldn’t sell booze”.. “should have more security”..
Take some ownership and responsibility - today is why the games are south to try and mitigate the chances of it happening. Move today’s game to Salisbury and it would’ve been x10 worse.
No issues at other GF’s with the same setup.
About time clubs North of the CBD stop acting the victim and smarten up.

Last sentence is 100% spot on.
We’re police called to any of the other GF’s
Div 4 at Kenilworth. Followed by ambulance. Involved B grade players from Gepps Cross though, another Northern club Huge fight with Morphetville Park players behind goals in 2nd quarter, one bloke in bad way needed the Ambo’s.
Shit gepps cross causing trouble that’s also a HUGE shock - punch up between geppies and walkerville in B grade was it? Central United were brilliant today they looked like they have turned the club around massively just need Brahma to do the same worst supporter base in the comp hands down

I take your point mate but not playing the victim, I watched 6 games of footy this year. 4 games of div 7 and 2 games of div 4 and the only trouble i have seen was yesterday push and shove. As someone else pointed out there was trouble at another grand final as well, doesn't matter where you play it mate every club has wankers that support it and they are worse on the alcohol or the other stuff. You don't think most of the people standing behind the coaches boxes where alcohol effected mate.
I'm the ressies coach at Flinders. So I had an unbiased view having played both Centrals and Brahma. Centrals were obviously upset last week as expected but this week they were mingling with the Flinders fans and just having a good day. Brahma were ridiculous. Walking through our group flipping us off. Chanting "F***ing Brahma to div 6". Come back through swearing their heads off to the point our fans with kids left early because it was just disgusting. WAGS yelling to Flinders players if they tackle their boyfriend they'll bash the F*** out of them. So gross. I wasn't sold on Centrals culture improving until yesterday. Unlucky result but amazing backflip. Their culture is definitely heading in a positive direction. Brahma is still Brahma unfortunately. Can play footy though..

They should know this won't happen. Brahma will request to stay in Div 7 as per their usual post GF victory tradition

Where you at the game? Same blokes in the push and shove at half time then walked out of the club with drinks in their hands.
SAPOL didn’t rock up until into the 3rd after it happened and kept presence the remainder of the game. Those working the bar at Mitcham wouldn’t have had any idea who was involved or what was happening so you can’t blame them for continuing to serve people.
I was devo they closed the bars straight away at the end, but it was the best thing to do.

On the games.. Uni looked good but just couldn’t quite hit the scoreboard, particularly large parts of the 3rd and 4th had control and multiple F50 entries but thought their entry in wasn’t great - either kicked to an outnumber or tried to find the perfect kick. Then Brahma would find that one goal that kept them at arms length.
The 99 up forward has beautiful hands, and the old bloke down back was outstanding. Just needed to find a way to isolate either of those two bit more.
Bellman was solid for Brahma particularly late when it mattered, and they had some good runners. Tackling pressure was very good.
A grade was a bit of a fizzer. Units ruck dominated all day but at ground level they looked slow, fumbly and at times disinterested. Brahma on the other hand similar to B grade had a bit of speed that hurt.
Bit of niggle during the game, couple of reds didn’t help but got the impression Steele sucked a few lads in and they paid the price - lost focus of what was important.
Units looked better when they changed lanes and didn’t just kick to the + numbers down the line. Lodge were far too good for them though, and the second half just became a walk in the park.

Stop serving booze at grand finals? I’ve heard it all now. 99% of people can handle themselves, let’s not change this because a few bogans can’t handle their piss

I was impressed by the standard of both grades, was expecting old fat slow guys like me but was some slick ball movement at times.
Felt sorry for the Brahma match day official, old guy who numerous times tried to calm their supporters down. I sat next to the dad of one of the Brahma A grade players (#20 who was in his 2nd year at Brahma) & I got the feeling he was a bit embarrassed by their supporters.
