Crucial point from another poor Norwood decision and skill error
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Woeful performance
Will be out in straight sets if we produce this trash next week
Absolutely clueless forward entries, hopefully Rawlings tears the paint off the walls

That was as tough a game as we played all year. We need to lift or the bays will demolish us.

How come the Eagles weren’t wearing masks whilst singing the song in the change rooms?

As a neutral watching I thought the umpires were ok.
Missed a couple each way but that’s footy.
They didn’t effect the score line.

South wore them so the Eagles might get a please explain.

Ssh.. Don't say that in front of Jim05. He was complaining about them at the first hit out.

I think our defense was great today in trying conditions. Norward had a massive forward entry but it appeared unstructured going forward. nb Saying that Norward controlled midfield . Douglas still has life in those legs. Grigg was quiet.

The game was saved by the Eagles defenders and won by some individual brilliance by Stengle. Both teams played 4 quarters of relentless football in difficult conditions. A free crack at Glenelg next weekend for a chance at a Grand Final berth.

Our defence was rock tight today and did an amazing job repelling the norwood entries.

Losing a tall defender minutes into the game meant we were small all over the field so players like Jungfer and Beecken were required to play tall and didn't let us down. Weather also helped our structure.

Norwood a much improved side from the other times we played them this season so good to get the win and set up an encounter with the Bays next Sat night.

Genuinely a great game of footy to watch. Two teams going hard at the contest and laying quality tackles all day.

Can’t be unhappy with the endeavour. Our midfields intensity was incredible.

Our Inexperienced forward line compared to the Eagles was the difference. Would be handy if Knoll/Boyd could do a little more around the ground too. Let’s hope McKenzie is back next week.

Slightly disappointing crowd in my opinion.

Why does the SANFL mandate that every other competition in the state needs to sing the song on the oval? Do as we say not as we do?

I know you are our "yardstick" Jim and Lord knows there are far too many happy clappers in the Nwd story year on year - but I really think this one was a different finals game for us:

1. Cottonball is genuinely gone (except when Vardenega brings back echoes of it),
2. The contested ball is so much more akin to what's final-necessary; and
3. There is a willingness to try to hit up a tall up front.

The forward entries are wanting for a lack of skill not endeavour and the kids are coming on so much quicker under Twig.

We'll beat South.

We'll go again against the Eagles probably and quite frankly - bring it! The longer this year goes on the better.

You probably will.

Never, ever draw any conclusions from non-knockout finals is my approach.
