Sleep Pills
Anyone recommend something that worked for them? Preferably something that doesn’t make you feel lethargic the next day.

Re: Sleep Pills
Have used Temazepam for the purpose of achieving sleep on international flights. Mostly with success, but a couple of times I've had to have a second dose after a couple of hours. Don't remember being overly drowsy afterwards. I have found that they don't work if you have them within a few days of your last dose ... so you might get some kip on a plane, but you'll still need to face jet lag! You'll need a script from your quack to get them.

Re: Sleep Pills
Coming from someone with chronic insomnia, I have had no success with prescription sleeping pills.
What suits me best is over the counter sleepaid or restavit tablets but break them into quarters. The full or even half a tablet leaves me feeling hungover the next day.

Re: Sleep Pills
I know its easier said than done but have you tried increased physical activity.
I know for me my training in the gym and my sleeping patterns are very closely connected even when I'm feeling stressed, anxious etc.

Re: Sleep Pills
I took a couple of those sleep aid tablets a few months ago as I was struggling to sleep. They wrecked me for a few days and felt like shit. Will never take them again.cracka wrote:Coming from someone with chronic insomnia, I have had no success with prescription sleeping pills.

Re: Sleep Pills
When I was going through a marriage breakdown and the old man on his way out I was going up to 4 days staring at my ceiling all night.
I didn't want to take drugs for it so I opted for some natural tablets instead, they were ok some of the time but then someone suggested that I get latex pillows.
As weird as it sounds it made a world of difference, just a thought.
***cue now for immature jokes that will get thrown at me.

Re: Sleep Pills
Thanks mate, I was going to mention I’d tried them but they stopped working fairly quickly (I just didn’t know how to spell them lol)Pseudo wrote:Have used Temazepam for the purpose of achieving sleep on international flights. Re: Sleep Pills
Prior to getting crook this worked really well for me. With the fatigue that comes with a chronic illness however, my exercise capacity is limited (I do still exercise just not like I could 10 years ago). I’d prefer to avoid medication if possible, so have used *ahem* herbal remedy for years, but sick of waking up tired the next morning.whufc wrote:I know its easier said than done but have you tried increased physical activity.

Week before last I managed 12 hours sleep for the entire week, so kinda at the point I’ll try anything now.
