Dogs in control at halftime. McCormack playing his best game of the year, Liddy, Grant and Chisholm getting plenty of it in the middle. Kendall and Little repelling well in defence.. Didn’t see which Westies player it was who went off very early with what looked to be a dislocated shoulder. All to play for in the 3rd qtr..

Memo to Hartlett...let your lads go for broke and take the game on from the get-go and see what happens.
Up til 3 quarter time west were besotted with a negative possession based game that dulled the contest but also gave themselves no chance of kicking goals against an organised defence.

Two others probably worthy of a mention are Anzac Lochiowak and Hugo Munn. Anzac made a pretty decent debut, whilst Hugo is starting to prove invaluable; not only in what he does but also how it enables Billy to go forward.

Very much so, but I believe the next two matches may define our season. Split them and finals are not out of the question. The Eagles and Glenelg will be big tests for us.

Particularly this next game. The 5th spot could eventually be between us and the Eagles.

Very impressive defence and much improved mids. Think the fwd setup is where improvement is needed.

Reckon half of West’s frees were in the last quarter when they dominated us and got the “momentum frees”
