Saints game would be close to a sellout at Marvel (their home ground) but we will have a half full MCG for a final

If they were playing a Melbourne team then I get it but Giants have 25 fans if you double count them.

You think that's bad - we have to play at the 4th team's home ground!

Heard on the radio that the reason finals fixtures only got revealed this morning was in case Melbourne had anyone with concussion protocols, and if so then they wouldn't play Thursday.
If true that's compromising the whole first week of the finals fixtures
So then Melbourne get some extra time to get the player right and maybe play on a Sunday so the players pass the 12 day protocols.

I doubt the AFL would ever consider scheduling a Sunday final anymore.

The way I would have done it

Friday Night Coll/Melb MCG
Saturday Afternoon Carl/Syd MCG
Saturday Night Bris/Port GABBA
Sunday Afternoon Stk/Syd MARVEL

Thursday is crap for spectators but excellent for TV so its no surprise which way the AFL went

Looks a handy ground these days, maybe not so much in 2012.

Look at these blow ins telling the AFL how to run the finals.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Was a little surprised the StK v GWS match wasn't at Docklands, but after 12 years without featuring in a 'proper/traditional' final (ignoring the 2020 asterisk season) I don't really give a stuff where it's hosted.  Saints home crowds have been underwhelming in recent years, hopefully plenty come of hiding for the match.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

you can blame freo for the pre finals bye.
And it's hallowed turf down the highway... I understand you may be trying to deflect away from your clubs attempt to rort the draft
