So possibly three forced changes to Sturt, with Coomblas, Page and Doyle looking unlikely.
Richards would be a definite inclusion after a strong performance in the ressies on Friday night. Wilson worked hard, but didnt seem anywhere near fit enough to guarantee a call-up.
Dogs only inclusion could be East who missed with a hammie.

Hasn’t played for weeks not surprising few injuries but have good depth to cover them. Expecting us to bounce back Dogs playing well though so won’t be a easy game.

The Band-Aid I've had on my wounds from the 1971 1st Semi Final has been ripped off and I'm reliving the pain all over again. All I need is for Robin Mulholland to run onto the oval wearing a CD guernsey again...

I don't think Aiden Grace will kick 5 goals in the last quarter as Mulholland did back in 1971 - but then CD had never beaten Sturt prior to that 71 1st Semi...so anything can happen...

And just to refresh your memory, here is the link to last quarter of that famous 1971 game.

Everyone of the Sturt 18 were either a premiership player or were to become one.

I'm putting it down to the feelings I gained from the last two Grand Finals we played against them, but I'm finding myself hoping the Dogs go all the way this September. Both games were good to watch last weekend. Often the higher ranked team bounces back from a loss, so Sturt would go in favourites but Central might have found their mojo under Bulldogs legend Paul Thomas and if they have, they'll take some beating.

Centrals are much improved in the 2nd half of the season however this weekends result is purely dependant on which Sturt team rocks up this Sunday.

Sturt at their best are better clearance wise, number of effective disposals and tackle wise compared to Centrals. Hence why over a season their win loss and scores for records are better than Centrals. (no diff in scores against)

Sturt come to play they win this easy. However if Sturt go all timid like they did in the last half, last Sunday . Dogs will get the chocolates as they are peaking but their current peak isn’t as good as Sturts best.

Plus Sturt won’t be resting a bloke at half time for next week.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They lose their number 1 ruckman and best defender, as well as an experienced veteran.

This will struggle to reach their peak with the aforementioned outs.

Double Blues have won 16 of the last 17 clashes against Dogs.

Reckon the red, white and blue are due to salute.

Lycett was not rested at half time.
He kicked a goal on the 3 qtr time siren.
He did appear to hurt himself during a centre bounce contest also in the 3rd qtr.

Can someone please remind me what the wager was at the start of the season & with whom,
something about buying membership tickets if Central finished somewhere on the ladder?
Thanks

I had a bet with bulldogproud - Glenelg to finish 3 or more positions on the ladder higher than Centrals, loser to buy a 2024 membership to the winner’s club. If Centrals beat Sturt, I’m buying a CDFC membership next year. If CD lose, Glenelg still have to win the flag for me to win the bet.
