With a record of 5/19 in GFs, Bays fans take nothing for granted on the last day of the season
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Glg were the favorites in '75
Sturt were the favorites in '78
PA in the favorites in '97

Anything can happen but the expected can also happen.

Port were faves in 97’ but only slight.

Question for Bays fans, could McBean have had a greater AFL career, or one of those “not quite good enough for AFL, but top shelf state league” players?

Yeah but given Ports run in the 90’s (would have won 6 on the bounce if not for 97’) and rolling us in the 2nd Semi and 2 finals the season prior, they were slight faves in GF week.

For his 100th game be club had media content interviewing Liam on his footy journey

IIRC he spoke of the pressure to perform at the AFL level and he wasn’t quite able to manage the demands.

It wasn’t so much his ability to play at the level just the off field stuff that is all encompassing

No North fan I know was confident last year. They were favourites but nowhere near as short as $1.40. And then there was the spectre of the rain. It had always been North's Achilles heel last year and so it turned out. North beat the Crows by 10 points in the second semi final and Norwood beat the Crows by 11 points in the preliminary so form suggested that Norwood were a 1 point better side than North and we all know the result.
