Port Adelaide 2023

Talk on the national game

Every player clears their locker out at the end of the year, that's a given. Hayes might be a different story but I'm leaning towards him staying.

Lycett has a deal in front of him, I think it's only 1 on very reduced terms. His body might be telling him enough is enough. Teakle has been delisted. Visentini is the future of the club, he's going nowhere. Sweet has asked to come to Alberton and should be the easiest of the three to want in.

Sweet and Visentini battling for the #1 spot. Hayes the back up with Lord, Finlayson and Dixon if required.

Wouldn't surprise to see Hayes rookie listed if he doesn't get any interest from elsewhere, also wouldn't surprise me if he's part of the Ratugolea trade.

If we have Sweet, Vistentini and then the ruck/fowards I think we're light on for ruck options.

Would love Hayes at Central,
apparently very close to joining us last season.

Hang on, he was contracted in the AFL but was going to leave to play at Central?

Yep, he was going to tear up his AFL contract worth $300k plus to go and play at Elizabeth for $3k a year just for the fun of it
