It does make sense though, they are making room for someone this trade period. They have the draft capital to get it done.
What do Carlton fans think of this? Is he expendable for 2 1st round picks?
They need a big clunker. The current setup just isn't working.

Odly enough Carlton actually look better with McKay out of the side. So if the price is right, could happen.

Melbourne are great at recruiting high profile big blokes and turning them to shit so why not?

Brown still has a year left on his contract and will rely on injuries to get a gig, JVR isn’t there yet so I can see why they’d make a play.

No we don't. Don't buy into the rubbish from the media. The 'quietness' of Charlie was because we didn't have a second tall forward to stop the intercept marking/spoiling attempts by Melbourne and Sydney during the finals.

All we need to do is to teach him to kick - which is a constant bugbear of mine.

McKay has 7 more years on his Carlton contract, good luck negotiating out of that one!

McKay reminds me of Travis Cloke.
Some days Trav couldn't hit a barn....the whole barn, but put him on 50 and he'd slot it.
McKay should not mark the ball inside 40 metres out.
If he's kicking from 50 he's a chance.
