Pity he threw his wicket away!

Staggering display of hitting.
Whilst definitely not wanting to take anything away from the young lad and the wonderful knock, the runfest yesterday shows that KRO is not fit for purpose for men's cricket. Now with the drop in pitch which is an absolute road for a 1-dayer and the short boundary and lightning quick outfield, it is not suited for men's cricket.
What are the boundary distances?

Adelaide Oval is approximately 85m straight hit from the batting crease and 65m square from the centre wicket.

I read somewhere they were about 65m and I agree, it's not a venue for First Class cricket.

Yesterday the boundary on one side was 55 metres and 75 metres the longer side. He was clearing the boundary by 30 metres though so would have been sixes on most ovals!

The pitch was clearly towards the city side of the oval watching in person, the boundary did look real small.

Interesting to note that 10 of the WA 11 are all locals (Short from NT). Perhaps something for SA to consider?? I think not as it's much easier to let someone else do the work and cherry pick from interstate.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I am sure it's of interest...

Northern Districts A grade chalked up 251 in its Premier League clash against TTG.
In reply, Gullies were 6 for 246 and then 7 for 249. Schiller (wicketkess at that stage) then took the last 3 wickets in one over to see ND with the win.

Just can’t keep persisting with Smith. There has to be someone else worth trying.
