Obviously not great for the game but it was fun to watch for the two days.

I want to see the opposite to T20, i want to see a format of the game where they play on absolute landmines and we watch batsmen jump around and struggle, a format where 100 in total wins you the game as the bowlers dominate. Now that would be entertainment. [emoji38]
Would be very entertaining, I've always like watching tests played on seaming/swinging/spinning pitches where the ball dominates the bat more than watching test cricket played on roads.

Yeah 100%

Obviously there needs to be a level of balance between bat and ball but imo 100% if you are to err on either sides pitches should always have a little bit more in them for the bowlers. A 'perfect' test for me to watch would be 275-325 each in the first innings and then 220-250 each in the second innings for a close finish.

I think that's why test series in India my favorite have always been to watch. The only thing that ruins tests in India is how much more adapt they are in those conditions than the opposition. A neutral test series in India would be great fun to watch. Closely followed by tests in England where bowlers never seem to be out of the game.

Thats why i rate Markhams innings so highly last night. Surely his innings % of runs vs the total match runs has to be up there as one of the highest. Maybe an exaggeration but that's up their with the out of this world 200 Maxwell made at the WC.

The first test of the India v England series starts Thursday, can't bloody wait to see how the series goes, absolutely hate them both but it'll be a fascinating series.

Yesterday Harry Brook pulled out of the whole series because of personal reasons, Dan Lawrence was named as his replacement.

It actually sort of solves their selection conundrum with Pope likely to now bat 3, Bairstow 5 and Foakes will keep.

And now Kolhi has pulled out of the first two Tests for personal reasons aswell.

Uncapped English spinner Shoaib Bashir is having Visa issues and has not arrived with the rest of the England squad from the UAE. His parents are of Pakistani heritage, coincidence hmmmmm.

Surprise surprise, Hindustan has pulled this one again.

Any other team would cop a suspension from international cricket.

Pitch was as expected made for the spinners.

England looked good when playing shots and going Bazball. When they sit and prod and try and work the ball they look in trouble. Image
