If you play at the pinnacle level of your sport, your sole focus should be about winning.

Are we winning? If yes, keep winning. If no, how do we win?

It's not rocket surgery, that's for sure.

I'm not saying i agree or not but watching a lot of the inner sanctum looks at various professional sports its clear the majority of coaching is primarily process focused over results.

Because if you get the processes correct, the results take care of themselves.. but it doesn't diminish the priority of winning at the top level.

Regardless of what he says to us ALL test players covet 3 figures.
Cummins should've made him get the runs.....unless he's got a broken finger from the one that hit him.
However remote the chances may have been, you can't risk winning a test series so that one bloke can get his 100.

He needed 2 runs FFS, there's no way we were losing.
Block out the over and let Carey either get out or hit the winning score.
Pretty ordinary from Cummins.

What about, Carey gets out, bit nervous, and Lyon and Hazelwood follow? Not exactly a thousand to one that the 10 and 11 go for ducks.

The SACA have locked in a deal with Cricket Australia that will see us play India in early December this year and the next six years we will have the last test before Christmas.

NO Ozzie test cricket until December

Yet we had 2 tests v WI ...2 tests v NZ
Could have squeezed in another test v WI ?
The NZ series should have been 3 tests

How the hell does Jhye Richardson get another Cricket Australia contract over Spencer Johnson?? The guy is injured every 2nd game he plays

Just gives Western Australia further leg up as they can sign another player to a WA contract!

At least Stoinis finally missed out

You could say the same thing about Spencer

How many 4 day games has he played the past 3 years?

Was using Spencer as an example being a good West Torrens boy. Has played regularly for 2-3 years now. Many White ball players have contracts still.

The point is how does Jhye get one? Thats an absolute joke.

Spencer will just have to cope with his IPL $1.8m contract :D

Will play enough white ball games to get an upgrade like this season anyway.

Just means Redbacks have to pay him too which is annoying.

Would've been an interesting conversation if someone piped up during the contract process, "So we're retaining Richardson but not Neser?"

That’s pretty thin on batters especially given the fragility of our batting line up

See Glen Maxwell is taking a break from cricket due to mental and physical fatigue

Mitch Marsh has left the IPL and returned to Australia injured as well

Thats probably why there is minimal batters getting contracts. No value for $$$$ at this stage.
