Can't see Port dropping a double-chance final, think the Hawks get up in a high-scoring game, and Brisbane kick 12 goals to 3 after half time against the Blues to win comfortably.

Yep, the Dogs vs Hawks game will be an absolute ripper, both teams capable of causing some real damage this finals campaign.

I can't recall a finals series ever being this open, Carlton being the only team that I legitimately think can't win the premiership, although for seems to be temporary this season, both good and bad.

Add Geelong to that, don't have the mids to match Sydney or Port

Got tix, found the trick with Ticketek now is to log in about 20 mins before tix go on sale as that's how long it takes to get to the front of the virtual queue.
They only let you stay logged in for 5 or 10 mins too so you've got to time it right.
Timed it beautifully and got front row tickets in the bay I got kicked out of a couple of years ago, could be fun!

Got mine as well.
Interestingly it wouldn't let me pick a different location like I could in the past, (at least I couldn't work out how to do it this time) so I just accepted the ones first offered.
Up in the 400 block, but at least it's fairly central.

Just realised the long walk up the aisle from the first row leaving early when we're 15 goals down will be fun. :?

It's a painful exercise with Ticketek but unless I can think of a better system I can't knock the one we use.

One thing I would do though is anyone who is an 11 game season ticket holder it should be assumed you want your seat come finals and an automatic direct debit is taken. I know the AFL take over finals ticketing and it would never happen but my god it would be a no brainer for any clubs home fans.

Gave me flashbacks to the 1991 elimination final between Port & West.

Glen Goss and I think Scott Hodges got into a dust up right near the fence at the northern end. Some little Port numpty thought he'd lean over the fence & grab Goss in a headlock.

The shock of it stopped the fight on the field, and little Dazza sits down next to Shazza like he's king of the hill.

Gets a tap on the shoulder from the boys in blue a couple of minutes later, and is escorted out, right past the Bloods cheer squad. Is then showered in empties, beer, food and anything else within arm's reach.

We were sitting behind the cheer squad, was quite an eye opener for some boys from the country!

Sam Docherty named to play for carlton after an ACL in round 1. Good story but not sure its the right call, obviuosly the medical staff know more than me and hope he gets through. His previous 2 games have been against Brisbane at the Gabba (Rd 1 and prelim final last year)

Maybe they've consulted the Chics medical staff and got the all clear?
