Games for WWT then heads to Port as a top up. Plays 4 games for Port then his next 2 games in the Athelstone C grade (give me a spell). Then plays no footy for several weeks before resuming games with Port. Then Athelstone get him in for a game in their A grade in Round 17. So that was his AdFL minor round. 2 A grade and 2 very dubious C grade.
OK, so he may have suited up for the C grade and made it on the ground for a few minutes but surely a please explain is in order. If there is no proof he didn’t “play” those C grade games then the Regs say he is qualified. Doesn’t mean it’s right and very very poor form from a club that is generally regarded as a model citizen.

Down the Hill wrote:That’s effectively what I said Bedge. But I don’t like it and I reckon plenty of Athelstone folk wouldn’t either. This guy is new to the club this year out of WWT so presumably the coach has got him to the club. So a bloke missed out on an A grade game last week and again this week for a bloke that many at the club probably wouldn’t recognise if they walked past him in the street.

Athelstone hiding stuff and cheating the system.
The same as the footage from the anything is content TikTok handle.
Funny how it’s been deleted. Showed the Athelstone bloke stunned and [emoji817] concussed
And I bet he plays this week.

haha they took that down did they............brilliant.
The captain was 'Should this bump be weeks"
It backfired on them with everyone commenting on how the Athlestone player 100% has to miss this week due to his concussion which was clear as day in the footage.

Not playing though, that's a rort.

Not sure he actually has to take the field anymore, so long as he's on their team sheet. And, when you have 25 players on the team sheet for the C's, there's always a spot you can use!

Its a great surface. I've been there twice in the last few weeks and its a great deck. Gets a lot of traffic on it with all the other crap they do on there...touch footy, Frisbee golf and whatever else seems to occupy it each night.
You would be happy playing a final at that venue, the place has it all and parking across the road was very handy.
