Thats why you need EP to make a GF against them. Their probably the only team who would genuinely back themselves in (especially after last year) to knock them off.AdelaideSaint73 wrote:Sort of ruins the comp a bit.Hack wrote:I know Marion are good but pretty shocked by that demolition of greenacres… who I also thought were good.

8 teams out of 10 with a percentage of less than 50. The scores against are ridiculous when you look at Marion giving up 354 and the next best being Gaza at 543. And then they've scored 930, and aside from Greenacres the next best is EP over 200 points behind. Crazy.

Greenacres will still back themselves after 2023 I'd have thought.whufc wrote:Thats why you need EP to make a GF against them. Tried, genuinely did. But that's some of the worst footage I've ever seen.#bleedredandblue wrote:That would be up there with the best win we’ve had in the last 10 years (besides finals)whufc wrote:Good to see EP back on the winner list!!
To be 5 goals down at 3qtr in the pouring rain with no bench left and 2 blokes on the field not being able to run, showed the character of the group! Been a tough month but starting to get some of the lads returning from injury has helped the spirits and think the win on Saturday will do wonders for the confidence of the group... Do yourself a favour and go watch the last quarter on dartfish![]()
Still backing us in for a top 3 finish

Same thing happened 2 years ago. Marion smacked them at greenacres, beat them in the first final, then lost in the granny. Marion are notorious choke artists. Plenty of chances still this year.AdelaideSaint73 wrote:Greenacres will still back themselves after 2023 I'd have thought.whufc wrote:Thats why you need EP to make a GF against them. Did Diedrichsen hurt his knee again on the weekend?
Love or hate Eastern Park, dont wish anything serious. Good player and one of the good blokes out there
Close comp (apart from Marion at this stage)
Think the best ability will be availability this year, you can certainly tell when teams are missing numbers and if you can get your best team on the park its very even.

Greenacres score wiped from the weekend
Looks like they played someone they shouldnt have
Lost anyway so not much of a punishment apart from percentage, not sure if league will (or can) impose anything else

Imagine playing wrong points, or an ineligible player, and still losing. That's a scramble after getting pumped by Marion the week before.beef wrote:Greenacres score wiped from the weekend

I would assume it's because Clark played ressies in the SANFL the week before then came back on the bye? Not sure how we don't know this rule yet.

Yep, that's no smart. Played him and have him listed as 3 points.Pag wrote:I would assume it's because Clark played ressies in the SANFL the week before then came back on the bye? Not sure how we don't know this rule yet.

What’s the deal there? He should have been 4 points which put them over 15?

Only blokes who have played predominant SANFL League footy in last 2 years are 4 pointers. SANFL Reserves and/or A grade at other clubs is 3 points. They are in breach because of the rule above.Hack wrote:What’s the deal there? He should have been 4 points which put them over 15?
Hard to believe with all the League messaging about playing blokes that are also in the SANFL system that a club can make this mistake.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
Would've hated to see what Portland's oval looked like before the oval upgrade
Played first 9 games away due to the upgrade so thought it would be in better condition. Looked like a patchwork quilt
A grade was a good game of footy ruined by some horrendous umpiring which is disappointing as it's generally been pretty good this year

8 games remain.. Who gets relegated?
Pulteney?
Woodville South?
Trinity OS?
Gaza?
Salisbury?
Portland?
Eastern Park?
Big round of games - Portland v Pulteney and Eastern Park v Woody South very critical in the scheme of things.

Throw a blanket over all of those except Woody south, they make finals and scare the shit out the top five.

A few weeks ago, Pooraka looked like a certainty for a top 3 finish. Now they're battling to avoid relegation, let alone make the finals!
Likely to lose to Woody South this week and only 50/50 to beat Salisbury the following week.
