Wont lie, initially I was a little dirty - mostly because I was hopeful of luring a few across to Ingle Farm.. but also a lot of is was FOMO on what Greenies were (potentially) getting - players, sponsors, money, equipment, volunteers..

But the longer the week goes on, the more content I feel - partly because Greenies aren't in D6 for starters - but for too long it's been spoken that we have too many clubs (particularly in that North-East region) and every year it's clubs fighting over players. Mawson Lakes have done well to survive as long as they have with no juniors and no atmosphere at their ground.

This merger / acquisition whatever you want to call it, won't make Greenacres some magical powerhouse, but it will make them structurally stronger and it'll hopefully have a flow on to other clubs in the area with one less club to compete for players with.

Stop being so positive and bring back angry Bedge. Dont let the A grade coaching role change you.

Only thing that will change is Mawson Lakes will be formally recognised within their constitution.

Have heard they've done the same thing with Division 3 players. They promised they're making changed to their culture. Can't blame them trying to get more playing stocks and atleast try to get out of being a club stuck in no man's land

Believe the committee rewrote their life Membership stipulations to include any Premiership Players, so a few Sons of former Guns could make their way ‘home’ together as 0 Point players the following season.

I think the rules state that they have to be Life Members for at least 2 years, so they planned it a bit better than that. Clever really, especially given the expectations around life membership at every club is different. Richmond have every Premiership Player also don't they?

I’m almost positive CFL have guidelines saying life membership minimum is 10 years service or 150 games
