Baz, reckons they over prepared for this test lol

The stupid thing is I do think they have enough talent to win a test or two in this series if they knuckled down but their bravado and hubris doesn’t allow it.

When they've got park crocketers like Carse playing for them I don't hold much hope for them.

Wasn't Smith meant to be a better keeper/batsman than Carey?

Oops, statiscally speaking Carse would make the team of the series so far, although he'd only have two team mates with him.

At least they're consistent, 8 wicket thumpings both times.

It looks like the Lions are travelling just as well.

Indeed but their batting lineup should have enough talent to at least match it with our second string attack.
Several of their batsman are defensively sound enough but they just don’t have the patience to see it off. Teams coming to Australia have always said you have to put away the drives for a while especially in Perth and Brisbane due to the bounce and unevenness yet even Root who is a class above the rest can’t resist driving at everything and knicking off.
Stokes and Jack showed some ticker yesterday and played sensible cricket and they are more than capable of putting 400 on the board if they bat sensibly.
Their bowling is a huge concern though. Wood has some ticker but is injured regularly, Archer has a heart the size of a split pea and doesn’t want to be out there half the time, Carse and Atkinson are pretty gun barrel straight pump merchants and they picked a spinner who is a batsman that bowls a few every now and then. You bring a specialist spinner to Australia and refuse to play him.
And don’t get me started on their backstop, let’s be honest he shouldn’t be called a keeper!
Picked a batsman who can take the gloves and is poor at both.
I know Carey is several levels above but that was a pure display of expertise shown this test and I can’t think of too many better displays behind the stumps in my lifetime.

Frankly I don't think they have the skills nor the application required and their preparation has clearly been skewed by their own inflated level of self belief.

We're missing two of our three best quicks and our batting line up is make shift at best and we're 2-0 up after less than 6 days of cricket.

Arhcer is too concerned about making his hair look pretty.

Yeah, you feel as though they are just one innings away from putting it all together, the midget usually has the wood on us, get him firing and then with Rot, Brook and Stokes getting amongst it and it can get away from us very quickly, the pure class of Starc rising to the occasion has been the difference.

100% they are but we've played enough cricket to remember playing against blokes year after year who took that cavalier approach to batting and deep down did they ever really worry you? No, because you could almost guarantee that if they got you in round 2 they wouldn't get you in round 12 because of how they play and that's bowling to someone twice, maybe three times a season let alone twice a week for 5 weeks out of 8.

I'm not sure our bowling attack is getting enough credit.

Yes we have a few out but .....

-Mitchell Starc is proving his above world class and can lead the attack on his own.
-Scott Boland is the perfect foil to Mitchell Starc, with consistent line and length. In his own right has been a very handy test bowler.
-Michael Neser was/is the perfect horses for courses selection. In his small amount of tests has proven his more than capable at test level and if he was born in any other country would have been a test regular.

I said it when Cummins went down but the one area, we do have depth is our bowling.
