If netball can't get a gig at the olympics, I wonder how Aussie Rules (not AFL) can.

Sensational details from the police report on the arrest of Hawthorn stars’ Dylan Moore and Connor Macdonald have to come light.

Arizona detectives from the Scottsdale Police Department allege that “a small plastic baggie” with a “small amount of a crystalline substance” fell out of Moore’s pocket when they searched him during an off-season incident.

The report says Moore denied it was his.

7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary revealed earlier this week that Moore and Macdonald spent time in jail after they were arrested in Arizona following a wild night where they climbed onto a scissor lift (and were hoisted two-and-a-half metres in the air).

Cleary also revealed that Moore initially faced a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, but that charge was dropped.

“As the two males were standing on the platform, another group of males were cheering them on filming them, sending them cheers of encouragement,” the police report (obtained by News Corp) says.

“I walked underneath the boom lift and told the males they needed to get off of the platform.

“They responded to me asking if they had done something wrong.

“The males then told me they didn’t know how to get down so I told them they could get down the same way that they got up there.

“As I was pulling a couple of items out of his pocket, a small plastic baggie with a small amount of a crystalline substance fell out of his pocket and landed on the sidewalk.

“I picked it up and asked what that was and Dylan immediately responded that (it) wasn’t his.

“I then searched his pocket again (and) located a rolled up $100 bill with a crystalline residue inside of it as well.”

Moore did not want to go into details about the charge when he exclusively spoke to 7NEWS.

“No, that charge has been dismissed,” he said earlier this week.

Moore told 7NEWS that it was a split-second decision to climb on the scissor lift and it had now haunted him for almost four months.

“I was in the US, I was out having a few drinks, and made a foolish mistake, decided to get on a scissor lift and next thing I know the cops are there telling me to get off, and I got off, and next thing I know I’m in police custody,” Moore told 7NEWS.

The police officers were on pushbikes when they spotted the AFL stars on the lift and the other men who were “cheering them on”.

Moore is now facing trespassing charges where it is expected he will appear in court in July this year via a video link.

The pair was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, each facing a fine of $355 AUD.
