How hard can it be?

2 blokes in QLD premier put on 600+ recently, so, not very.

Sometimes I wish they'd play on for a bit instead of going to lunch, when clearly there's plenty of rain coming. Take some fruit bars out to the players and umps between overs for sustenance.

Not without a little controversy. Apparently Alex Carey had left the ground before play had officially been called off.

Would have made for an interesting u-turn.

There is a ripper story about Gilchrist and a test in NZ where confusion over rain delay resulted in him running through gates as the umpires were walking out in 2005 (I think) as he was due to resume batting

100 runs in a session later....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

This match will be over before the end of March though? It's scheduled 26-30 of March?

Whilst it's about as late in the season as it could be it's not completely uncommon to have the Shield Final this late. Looking at the last 20 years the final has been in both the third and forth week of March and for example- the final 20 years ago where Queensland made 6/900 declared was on the March 24-28 and going even further back when SA won the final in 95/96 the final was March 30th to April 3rd.
