Yeah, never offed a coin there either. I'm sure parents thought I was a prick

Besides, having a kid request Jordan cleats or a new bat isn't anything to be sneezed at, be buggered if I'm paying on top of that!
Fees, uniform....then cleats and bats.

From a cricket back ground I was shocked by how fragile baseball bats can be!

Don't forget the different bat standard that changes each age group, making last year's bat illegal.

Eastbay was a godsend, back in the day, especially when we had parity with the USD.

Indeed it was. We'd get together with two other families and do one bulk order in late winter ready for the summer ahead.

The strong Aussie dollar, coupled with the end of season discount meant my kids were running around in brand name gear that was cheaper than what you could get at Target!

Also a good excuse for me to buy a few things that I didn't really need

4 down and going far better than I thought it would. Far better looking than I am, probably on a better wage than me, younger and her texting etiquette is impeccable. I can't use acronyms or abbreviations in messages, it appears as though she can't either. Very intelligent conversations until I chime in with some sort of stupidity.

Pretty bloody happy to be honest.

I don’t mind the piss take mate, you’ve gotta be able to take it when you give it out.

I respect everyone on this forum and being semi-anonymous it’s my safe place to express my challenges in life to improve my mental health. I’m like most men and keep my shit bottled up, this forum has helped me out of dark times on numerous occasions as those who really know me on here read between the lines and check up on me.

I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and I don’t try to be, I’m just a bloke trying to be the best version of myself.

How the f*** servos get away with their shit baffles me. There is a servo near my work that is the same price every day, ones neer home are generally 10c dearer during the week and 40-50c dearer on the weekends.

Well. They currently have both Woolies and Cole’s in court for faux discounts.
Seeking $100 million penalties against both. Some other notables,

Biggest ACCC Fines and Penalties
$100 million: Qantas (2024) for selling tickets to cancelled flights and failing to notify consumers.
$100 million: Optus (2025) for unconscionable sales tactics targeting vulnerable customers.
$438 million: (Combined) Phoenix Institute and CTI (2023) for misleading, unconscionable conduct regarding student enrollments.
$57.5 million: BlueScope Steel (2023) for attempted cartel conduct.
$60 million: Google LLC (2021) for misleading representations about personal location data.
$46 million: Yazaki Corporation (2018) for cartel conduct.
$40.7 million: Trivago (2022) for misleading hotel price claims.

They advocate for refunds/remidiation day in day out.
