I, Armchair Expert, would like to formally apologise to Laura Kane.
For some time, I blamed her for the AFL’s terrible umpiring, confusing rules, and general weekly chaos. I was convinced she was the problem.
But now that she is no longer in that role, and the umpiring still somehow makes me question reality every weekend, I have been forced to reconsider my position.
It turns out the issue may be bigger than one person.
Laura, I was wrong. You were simply standing too close to the crime scene.
Please accept my sincere apology.
