I still use (when I play these days which is next to not at all) my 1982 GC Powerspot which cost my nanna $92 at the time from K-Mart.
It has the most unbelievable middle and a bow in it Robin Hood would be proud of.

Better make that 6 now.......another 60 odd in the GF.......Rohan and Hunsie might destroy weaker attacks but this guy just does it time and again when it matters most......

whats your problem with Clarendon? Bit of an anti climatic grand final with Clarendon bowling out Scibs for 95 and the puss Clarendon batting lineup chasing the total down with 8 wickets to spare with 20 overs to boot.

Brag- No one likes Clarendon because:

- You never know who is going to show up and play, nearly 60 for the season from memory!

- Clarendon is a sh!tty oval (I get a crazy rash from your sh!tty grass, dont get it at any other oval in the hills, but i'll admit thats my problem...)

- That older bloke (ex skipper?) who bowls hand grenades and is deaf and blind, yet umpires the majority of the innings

- I dont think one player wore full whites to the gf, one guy was even wearing singlet and shorts

- Finally, not even caring enough to show up and claim the premiership trophy...

Yeah we did have 60 players, nobody, including myself could commit for the entire season, we still got 11 on the field eveyweek and still had 13 or so qualify for finals, I dont see why this is a big deal.

I havent had any problems with the oval, thats just a personal thing I guess.

Cant argue about the old bloke, but every team has one, everyone gets shit decisions against them or not called when bowling, to say we do it more than any other team is laughable. We complain to each other about how we feel we get shafted most weeks.

Does wearing whites really matter in C grade? I personally wore them, but who cares if he was wearing shorts, it was 38 degrees and they were white, nit picking?

Nobody could collect the trophy as the footy club had a trail match on where practically everyone was involved.

I have spoken to other sides and they didnt seem to have a problem with us, could it be a case of sour grapes? Im assuming alot of this whinging is coming from Algate, now I wonder why that was? Complain about the game where a decision went against you. I personally didnt see it as I had been dismissed but our batsmen was convinced it was a bump ball.

That was also the game was it not where we allowed sub fielders for an "injured" player, didnt see any batsman limp off mind you. Pretty generous considering the sub fielders were B graders (?) and had been sinking piss all day. Oh well at least we proved 2 weeks later it was no fluke.

I personally dont have a problem with Algate, some guys in our team do, but not me, I actually was able to have a shuckle with a few of them, just shits me with whinges like this, where I think alot of it is sour grapes.

RE: the GF and whites.

I think you are exaggerating about nobody wearing whites, I for one, wore whites and I can think of 7 others in full whites, the other guys wore white shirts and shorts and there was the one guy in a singlet as mentioned above.

Sometimes throughout the season when we had fill ins we would try and get them in whites but sometimes we had to just go with as close to white as we could.

There was one game, against Algate of all people where one of our players for some reason only had a red shirt. He was asked, fairly enough too, to swap it with others when bowling or batting.

I personally dont think its a big deal in C grade cricket, but I can speak to the guys and try and make more of an effort for next season.
