Looks to be a quality player. Can build sides around a strong centre half back.

No worries, suck the last bit of life out of the club. Will you guys be happy when the top 6 clubs play each other every 5 weeks. and the juniors is 8 teams from 4 clubs. I noticed the Morphies 18's only named 17 in the Southern Boot, the top teams having as many juniors teams as they like is doing great things for the league, does that mean that the other 30 odd kids that played for the 14's and 16's second sides over the last few years have quit when if they played for another club and got treated better they might still be there playing 18's or seniors.

Another great game for Matty yesterday i see from the paper. Seen a few of the under 18 brigades players in the paper too, Ratsy startin to give them more of a run?

Yes another great game from Matty,he has stood up all year and has become a leader for all the young lads. Ratsy has been giving the young lads a go all year currently 5 from the under sixteens of last year and a spread of eighteens. When you consider we have lost 5 games this year under 2 goals we beleive the future is bright.

Congratulations to Craig Smith and Josh Vick, both selected in the team of the championships for the state country football championships. Smith at full back and Vick as rover.
Both in the state squad to play the national country championships in Shepparton in about 3 weeks.
Josh Ramsey also added the state squad. Squad of 29 to be pruned to 24.

That is a good stat!
Good work shoes seems you aren't that far off with a good win on the weekend. Congrats to the club.

And also Lions kicking 8 against Cove even going down by 12 is still a good effort. Shows some big improvement, certainly one area were lacking is scoreboard pressure at the moment. Well done.

Rumblings around the league have Reynella already grooming a replacement for Evans next year. And before you jump on the he is still contracted next year defence, it seems the club may be happy to pay out that year??

Anyone heard anything on this?

Congrats to Smithers and Vicky in line for the State squad - anyone know how the Southern/KI team went in the tournament?

Well done to Noarlunga knocking off Reynella, anyone at this game to give us a review?

Also good efforts from Marion and Lonsdale, getting fairly close to more fancied opposition.

Saw this Blake Mosar for Hackham and yes he looks a talent, very good over head. Would have liked to see him stand Pollard at some stage tho. But poor form from a group of the Hackham spectators who took player abuse too far and tried to accost one of our players by taking the field, no need for that!

With all the problems the Hawks are having on the field the last thing that they needed was this incident. Very dangerous when spectators come on to the ground during play to confront players. Surely this will be looked at by the league.

Thanks Wineflies, for the 2nd time this year you have lost to a lower side the week before the Bombers play them, which helps us avoid complacency. Happy to concede that Cove and MV will finish top 4 but now the race is on for the other double chance spots. Will make for an interesting run home. Flaggies very disappointing. On form they should have taken it right up to Porties. Come on Flaggies boys, what went wrong. It took Bombers a half to shake off Aldinga but the floodgates opened up at half-time. We kicked an incredible 25-5 in second half. Injuries are mounting a bit though. Talking of some young talent at the lower clubs, Aldinga No. 1 Talbot (his brother is No. 4 with the shocking lime coloured boots) is a real talent and was a standout for the Sharks. Got to see the "legendary" Russell Hart play for the first time. Solid showing Harty, but the long sleeve guernsey and the white shorts didn't do alot for your figure.

Yeh Twistie Shoe's led all day and played like a team unlike the Reynella boys who bitched all day to each other/the coach/the runner/the umpires and to top it off the spectators!!!

Well done to the Shoe boys, i definately wouldnt have tipped this result.

So who kicked the goals for the Shoes? I thought the Shoe forward line looked fairly undermanned when we played them a few weeks back.

Fly/AFLFlyer/EFC whats the vibe down at Reynella? Definately not writing them off as they have some quality players and will obviously still make the finals, but the teams not getting the results and Reynella stalwarts like the Middleton's and Threadgold's are choosing to play in the 2nds, it all seems a bit odd!
