Played Giff last game and he is a good cricketer but I reckon he would be found out in a higher grade. Cant play a leg side shot to save himself and loves to show his stumps trying to play that cut shot over point. If he's happy to play C's then good on him - I do think that the Pipers C's will be found out come finals if hes not playing though - his batting and bowling is pretty key to that side.

Played A Grade for SCIBS few years back. Definately didn't dominate.

did torrens valley comp play last weekend, straight after new years? It's a bit rich if they did!

Certainly did TB. Had the 20/20 Carnival on Dec 20th and resumed this week Jan 3rd. Agree a bit of hassle, as a lot of clubs had players racing back from holidays to play. Think Torrens Valley's thinking is that they will finsh a week or two earlier than most comps, avoiding a programmed Grand Final Weekend on the same week as Clipsal.

Whats the likelyhood of a player being suspended if they dont play association? Is it all talk? Pretty harsh on a bloke if he doesnt want to play.

A&EH will do it if it occurs, but Torrens Valley and Hills won't suspend players.

Torrens Valley players building great form on the weekend for the upcoming Meyer shield. Ducks to Hackett and Wescombe and Golden Ducks to Wehrman, Johns and Wimberley!

I see Johnno Foster was back for Nairne and amongst the wickets. Must be back to full fitness and fired up after his unfortunate Melbourne cup day misfortune.

Also see Echunga are struggling again after an excellent start to the season and cant see them hanging on to 4th spot for much longer. Beaten out/right by strath and only claiming 1 wicket for the match is a pretty comprehensive loss.

Creeks are starting to gather a bit of momentum as they are getting a few players back. Beat Wistow easily despite not batting that well and Dropping straightforward catches which i notice has been a common trait with most teams this year.

An early tip for the Finals are Nairne v L.Creek and Strath v Hahndorf to play off in the semis with Nairne and Strath to clash in the GF which probably means Creeks and Hahndorf will. :D

NO.

N.Lyons 88 runs @ 14.67 and 2 wkts @ 55.50 in 'A' grade are not the stats that demand meyer shield selection.
also had 1 match in 'B' grade, 10 overs 0/61.

Plenty of wickets  J.R. you've got a bad source of information.

Dunstall would be the only player from Echunga a chance to make the team.

no chance any echunga blokes will make it, apart from dunstall maybe. and lyons, well when you back away to square leg every ball your not gonna make to many runs, and against us he got hit for about 9 an over so yeh...

and no hahndorf players are playing due to being screwed over by the league last year with suspensions.. so the hahndorf boys are taking a stand against it
