WOW Snappa surprising comments. I do not have any affiliation at reynella nor the player involved. Your telling me a bloke who played regular season games in the AFL last year wouldn't be in Reynella's best 21??

not saying that at all WORM. what i am saying is he isnt part of that team! can you argue that point?? Its almost August and hasn't represented the club at all this year.

i guess the question does need to be asked about the player in general? how and why has this player taken such a dramatic backward step with his football at such a young age?

Up date on Porties oval

1st of all we would like to thank the shoes for last thursday night letting us use their ground,
2nd Christies for letting us use their ground Mon/Wed nights and saturday against Brighton letting us set up canteens and Bars out side the clubrooms

Observer may have stuff to add

But briefly, the cuncil have been working on the oval constantly, the 1st major problem was that the oval was to wet for the machienary so we had to wait for it to dry up a fair bit, (thanks for the nice weather mother nature)
They have done countless emu parades picking up glass, then a big super sopper vacume (like they use at the cricket grounds) then more emu parades.
Then they use a scarifier (not sure on spelling) it vibrates the ground shaking all crap to the top then again with the vac and emu bob
They have been repeating these steps all week.

Finally they are going to roll the oval then lay a 20mm layer of loam accross the entire thing.

Bit of a blessing in the fact that the oval is getting a make over and will probably bounce back better than ever

But... Probably wont be ready for about 3-4 weeks all going well

Snappa - you have gone from 2 posts in 6 months to 9 in 1 day and you do sound like one of the posters no longer with us.
I cant beleive that any club would tell this player who is hanging around the club to piss off your not welcome because you are going to take another players spot, that is assuming that they will get no injuries, work commitments, holidays, sickness or any other reason for someone missing a game for him to take someones spot, this has nothing to do with Reynella's culture its just common sense to play this bloke and see what he offers to the Team
I bet theres not 1 player down Winies that would be complaining.

I bumped into an old mate today, he mentioned that Craig Bevan was still playing in SFL?
I seen him play in the BL&G a few years back.
My memory of him was that he was a loose running wingman who used to eat hot dogs by himself on the outer wing at Angaston oval.
How does he go these days?
If any knows him, say G'day from The Duke.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

And the winners are:-

Aldinga V Noarlunga. Shoes to strong and have their eyes on a finals spot.

PtNoarlunga V Brighton. Porties fighting to keep in the 8 but the top spot up for grabs so Bombers for me.

F/Hill V H/Valley Flaggies good last week but the Valley need to keep winning so Valleys here.

Hackham V Cove Cove

Marion V C/Beach Christies

M/Parks V Townies A big game for both sides one to keep in the 8 one to keep double chance. And with my mail re big Hibs out and the coach not on the track we could see an upset at the land of giants and overhanging trees.

Lonsdale V Reynella With their AFL recruit surly a wineys win.(Lion Heart with the Shoe at Aldinga I will be looking for a boundry ump! any kids that want a redback come and see me and it is yours)

M/Vale (bye)

Good luck :)

My Tips:

Ald V Noar - Noarlunga to win, BUT come on Aldinga roll them please!
Pt Noar V BDOS - Brighton to win by 10 Goals - Brighton must win please!
F/Hill V H/Valley - Happy Valley to win, BUT come on Flaggies roll them please!
Hack V Cove - Cove by plenty
Marion V C/Beach - Marion by a small margin or its all over! Again no bias at all in this tip
M/Park V E/Town - Edwardstown by 3 goals, Seb to dominate the ruck, Hibbo out, but still think Townies will be too strong.Win Townies please
Lons V Reynella - Reynella to win easily, will be interested to hear the performance of the star recruit first up.
Morph Vale - Should have a fault less game on the weekend

Good Luck to All - GO THE RAMS

Great work all involved with the Porties clean up, be a miracle if they get a game there before the end of the year.

Tips:
Shoes (TBB to dominate his position)
BDOS (Porties to lead at half time before being run down)
Flags- time we won the battle of the Hills and Valley
Cove (Sorry HH and HH3, not this week)
Beach (Rams to make it tough)
Mparks in a thriller
Flies- too many "Weet"ies for the Lions
Emus over the improving bye.

Duke, think you may find things haven't changed that much with bevo! He is seen cleaning his boots of the white chalk gathered from running the boundary line at each and every break! Must admit can use the ball well when dished out to him but rarely seen in the hard ball stat. Must be doing something right did play in the zone championship winning team this year!
