How does Thomas Smith and Justin Schanger go in the APFL.
Very well. They would be easily be Hamley's best 2 players. Good luck trying to recruit them. Those 2 bleed black and red.

I wouldn't put either of these two blokes in the same catergory as McMillian, both are far better players and certainly on a more consistent level. Schahinger in my opinion (and will cause a little controversy) is the best big man playing at the moment in the APFL, Ruck work is excellent and a good tap ruck at that, plus he does more than all other ruckmen around the ground, probably more a midfielder role but needed to in the bombers outfit. Would be interesting to see him in a good side. I saw the BLG grand Final and he would gobble up the Angaston rucks and he would have a good hit out with Wells from Tanunda.
Tom Smith seriously can play and is an extremely smart football with exceptional skills and doesn't mind putting his body on the line. Has had to carry the Bombers midfield for the past few years but similar to Schahinger in a good side where he wasn't so heavily relied on he would be quality. The question would they make it in the BLG, Yes and yes - my opinion only and it probably not worth much at this stage of my life.

Know of any other unhappy players in the APFL looking for a new start or challenge?

Fair call, I'm sure they both could play in the BL&G, Tommy has great skills and plenty of courage and Justin has had a stint with the Dogs in town which is invaluable especially for a big man learning the ropes and he also has a bit of mongrel in him which is something you cnat necessarily teach. Having seen a few games this year in the BL&G, I would think many other APFL players could also cut it in the BL&G. Yes their best are very good (probably as good as the best in the APFL) but its their depth of their best that makes them a stronger competition. I think too many people look at the BL&G as though its the measuring stick. It was no surprise to see that McMillan struggled in the BL&G last season, he struggled at Balak and Mallala for 3 years before heading over there!

Thanks for the info fella's, sounds as though they go ok. McMillan was the only person I could think of that has come over to the BL&G lately.
Was having the convo with work mate who knows them and we were arguing whether they were good enough to cut it in the BL&G.

Justin towled up Walker once this year and the other occasion was a little closer. Had good battles with Banton and Chugga, but considering Justin rucks all day with no rest I think he did bloody well. Justin had stints at the Maggies and then Eagles. Has never played for the doggies.

Yeah he did a pre-season there and played a few trial games, but due to being in the wrong zone Port would have had to pay a transfer fee to get him and decided against it. So then he went to the much lesser club the Eagles.
