What about the big clash. The Smith brothers.

Craig Smith 4 times premiship player for Morphett Vale. [No. 18 M/Vale]

V/s

Brad Smith ex leauge player for glenelg. [No. 26 Marion]

Have been waiting for this clash for a long time, to see who is the" better Smith."
My money is on Craig, youth is on his side and hopfully better support around him.
This contest will be spot on, and worthy of a big crowd.
Lets hope no one pulls out with an injury this year.

Good to see the season is about to start! But yep looks like a pretty mediocre set of games first up, the Twisties vs Townies one being the only one that might be a bit hard to pick. Ill take the Townies, IIRC their B grade was quite good last year so perhaps they can deal with losing a stack from last year. On the Twisties, i hear big Seb Guilhaus played 1s for the Eagles on the weekend - how did he go?

Hey $hoe Boy, why did your last years captain Matty Despot not get re-appointed for this season...??

Looking forward to the clash of the Smith brothers on Saturday! Should be plenty of "verbals" between the 2, between the Smith boys and their old man, they know EVERY dirty joke/limerick/saying ever invented...!!

If Brad is lining up for goals will Craig use the old lines like;
Ya dad wears stockings. or
I kissed ya mum last night.

If Brad Smith was lining up for goal i'd ask to see the hairy tongue?
Or show us the old vacuum and the lighter trick...

We are wrapping him in cotton wool for the clash!!

If a senior player (let alone a captain the year previous) has declared he only playing B'grade that season before a game has been played, he or the club would need pretty good reasons (such as work later Saturday afternoons). I dont know the guy or the circumstances, but stinks of a crap attitude somewhere along the line either himself or from the club.
