Re: Finals Week 1
Crows will win with or without Sloane. Too good
It's their flag to lose.
It's their flag to lose.

Don't think Slone plays.
If GWS play the best football they're capable of they are in any game any where they play. For mine GWS's best football is better than everyone else's you just rarely see it.
I think Adelaide's best, most attacking football is the best in the competition but as evidenced by their losses to Melbourne, North and Hawthorn when they go to sleep they hit the snooze button over and over.
Still, their flag to lose.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

I reckon they will roll the dice with him. If its only pain (i.e he cant do any further damage) he will play

To what? A non-existent appendix? It's a one stitch wound. He'll play.

Re: Finals Week 1
did anyone read that article on the AFL website about the Crows. What a load of garbage. Crows surviving and thriving against the odds. Against what odds. Every club goes through what the Crows have with personel. Barrett is a flog
Raided by the new franchises. They lost 1 player each to the Suns and Giants. Bock and Davis. Pretty sure most of the clubs have lost players to the new franchises and other clubs . Look at Hawks they lost Buddy and still won flags.

Was Dangerfield a captain? Pretty sure Walker took over from Van Berlo, yes?

Co-captain with Sloane when VB had the year out with the severed achillies

True.
Every club has gone through personnel changes forced by having their coach killed during the season.

Bock to the Suns, Davis to GWS are the only real losses to the new clubs, the likes of Gunston just wanted out, Vince had to be traded to get picks after the Tippett debacle, Tippett wanted out and not even to go home out, Dangerfield walked out pretty easily considering the Walsh / BnF and what Adelaide look to be building on field.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

What i meant was with players leaving. Not with the Phil Walsh death.
