Some shocking umpiring in Eagles/sturt.

Re: Live Scores - Finals Week 1
Now they’re just blatantly cheating. That was holding the ball every day of the week. How the Eagles haven’t won more premierships with this favouritism is beyond me.

Good work channel 7.
Must have sorted their graphics out at 3/4 time of the first game

Bunch of delinquents running around. As to how the chunky umpire gets a league final is beyond me, however he is the umpire coaches son...
And that.

Some good skill levels for the first 3 quarters
SA made a few costly boo boos in the last quarter, NA made less , pressure of an elimination final an excuse
SA had an excellent season, if they aint raped by the AFL , can be a BIG flag hope next season
Thring, Spina, Barns , Smith did enough when needed
Hender amazes with what he can do on a football field
Loved the umpiring style
Less charity free kicks, ala AFL
I only saw the first three quarters at my old man's place was a great game to watch loved the intensity.
A shame South couldn't get up in the end.

Was ridiculously over umpired and they even managed to give frees to the wrong sides sometimes, some in front of goal. ******* horrific umpiring.
I went as a neutral with my Mrs who is a South supporter. Didn't think the umpiring was too bad but as is often the case, the umps seem to get involved with the "momentum team". I thought the ran too far free against South in the second quarter was ridiculous, no cries of "how far"from the crowd and half a dozen similar through the remainder of the game unpunished.

Re: Live Scores - Finals Week 1
Shocking game of footy today at Adelaide Oval.
Really nice day for free flowing footy, but we would've had more bounces/ball ups than tackles. It was ridiculous. The standard of the game is quick and intense but poor by hand and foot - possibly because of the pressure. However, it caused lots of ball ups and congestion around the stoppage.
Does the SANFL allow third man up because that would've alleviated the continuous ball ups between Osborn and Redden? Just a thought.

It was a perfect advertisemnet for the AFL to change the rules, the AFL has infected aussie rules across the whole country with the style of football employed now by almost every team in the country. Good luck any teams with the foot skills of amateurs being able to get through a high 18 man press. bring in zones not just starting positions

Not sure that will fix anything.
