That's great news. Will definately strengthen our team.
Looks as if Ango may have secured the services of a top order batsmen that has moved into the area and is working with Benny Burgess. Knowing Benny I am sure that he his chirping in this blokes ear everyday about playing for Angaston.

his shoulders would be getting pretty sore in his old age, could use the help.
I think ango will battle quite hard this yr.. both burgess boys are really ageing and their bodies just arent holding up to the vigerous demands of B&L cricket. such a taxing one day and two day programme these days.. woodards needs to open the batting... just ask him..
So has GC managed to hang on to all there players from last year ?? Was speaking to the kilburn cricket club who had said they where still waiting on fracka to ask to come back , said that they would welcome him back with open arms
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Driving past Sandy's home ground on occasions for work i would reckon that would be a cracking place to play cricket. Especially if you batted high and were still in after tea. Oh the serenity.

The sandy lads have put in a request to play all away games against gilbert valley at saddleworth, a very unique oval[/quote
Played up there about 4 seasons ago - play had to be held up around 2:30 as 4 cows came wandering onto the oval from an Easterly direction at the Northern End (no joke - it actually happenend).
Saddlesworth, I have seen young Rocky Hutton play a very entertaining innings at this complex, although it only last 2 balls. 1st ball - 6 over the scoreboard, second ball - dropped two blokes out but Rocky still thought he could clear them but fell short. Mind you he was extremely hung over, but are we surprised
