This is probably the youngest A Grade Team CCC have named for quite some time. Wont risk any players with an injury and Al is better of missing 1 game now instead of more if we risk him and he ends up injured worse. Dobbo is on his Honeymoon this week after getting married last Sunday. Will Sub him through the B Grade. Just gives a couple more youngsters some experience in the As.

Nothing like rushing into things LOL, congrats Dobbo & Leona.

Yep congrats to Dobbo.

Dont be shy to give Al one of those rests in Round 4 mate dont want to injury him just before the cruical one dayers ;) LOL

Managing Al through the season will be crucial. The goal of this season was to blood some youth looking toward the future, its just been forced upon us a little quicker than expected. Im sure after missing a game Al will certainly be fired up and raring to go.

I think we need 2 threads, one for cricket talk and the other for LM's PDCA Betting Agency!

Because I am absolutely flat out here at work today, I was aimlessly wandering around the SAMCA website and came across this passage in the 20/20 comp rules

A3. The Ball
(a) A SACA accepted four-piece ball (Kookaburra 156 gm) approved by the umpires acting in the
match shall be used for each innings.
(b) SACA will provide Kookaburra Senator Pink 156 gm balls for matches in the quarter final stages
onwards of both the metropolitan and country competitions.

Not having played the comp last year I am wondering if this applies to PDCA as well? Might make things a little interesting???

I had already checked that out mate, the first round matches that only involve the PDCA teams will be using a tuff pitch 2 piece.

Well its good to hear about the youth but I'm glad i tipped westies this week coz it sounds like ur goin to struggle a bit. Only just got over the line last week, and now ur missing howie and hewitt coming up against a stronger side. Goin to be a very stern test for the kids
