They wont get there until 2023 season I believe.
The Tanunda Sports precinct which sees the Barossa Ram RU club move from Lyndoch to Tanunda has received all their funding but I don't believe the works have started as yet. Pretty big job and cant see them having it ready for the start of the 2022 season which is.only 7-8 months away.
With the continual expansion of Gawler East (and Concordia area), it would seem sensible to start discussions around forming a Gawler East/Sandy Creek football/netball club to join the BL&G based at Curdnatta Park for the following reasons:
- Existing facilities, with Curdnatta Park due for redevelopment by the Barossa Council (including netball/tennis courts) in the near future - A strong Sandy Creek Netball Club already exists in G&DNA and could easily join into the stronger BL&GNA - Can split games across the Gawler East oval facility once this is built (close geographically to Gawler, but not another Gawler club)
- Barossa District already have a strong population to draw from in Lyndoch/Williamstown - BD have very strong juniors, and shouldn't be too badly affected by any GE/SC club (more opportunities for juniors in BL&G FA and NA)

Not sure it would ever happen but could one of the existing Gawler teams significantly benefit if they moved location....obviously no one involved in the clubs would like this but hypothetically if it was a business decision would there be value in it.

Gawler is big enough for 3 teams to call home (and is growing), and each club has specific territory in town so I don't think a club picking up and moving would be on the cards or sensible
New clubs at Roseworthy or Gawler East/Sandy Creek are a real possibility in the next 5-10 years!

Moving locations is losing identity and history, could easily get a 4th team up and running, I couldn't believe the growth going on a few weeks ago when I took the short cut to Sandy Creek from Potts Road.
Won't happen in the short term. The Sandy Creek population feeds to the 3 gawler clubs and Barossa Districts. This will affect all of these clubs. Probably BDFC the most.
Freeling are a basketcase and would be licking their lips at the population increases in Roseworthy/Freeling
To add another club weakens the talent pool and is just a plain stupid idea in the next 20 years.
When these clubs are brimming with an excess of junior players then it could be considered. Gawler Central had 10 senior colts 2 years ago I beleive
