Yep. I think he went to Old Iggies purely for the cash. As they were a pretty average side, nearly relegated. He wouldn't want to be stuck in A4 again I don't think, as for the change to us

Didn't Old Iggies beat Penfield in A4 last year?
No surprises Cooper left Old Iggies if he only went there for the cash - they aren't big spenders!!

Well you are correct, they beat us by 3 runs. But i said that based on the facts that we made the GF, and they avoided relegation with a second innings 40* from the man mentioned above.

Lets hope he doesn't read that or it may have been the shortest signing in history.

Played against Golden Grove a couple of years ago. That year Anderson made a truck load of runs, certainly rides his luck. We dropped him on less the 10 in a semi then went on a made a 100. He was pretty confident in his own ability. The oldest Indrante if thats how you spell it also played in this game. He had a fair bit to say which i was suprised from a young lad, he wouldnt shut up, he was told in quite fierce terms to keep it shut. Made 0 in this semi but they made 300. Did show good sins in the minor rnd game. i would say Penfield will need to pull his ego into line.
Anyway what struck me about Golden Grove in both there young and older players is they were happy and thought they were pretty good playing B2 as a Agrade side against Bgrade and CGrade teams. Would love to see them in A2 or A1 and see how they would of stepped up, i do see they struggled in A4.

Apparently GG are requesting to get dropped down from A4 to B1 for the upcoming season, I think they like being a good team against B and C grade teams like you mentioned.

Surely not. I always keep an eye on Golden Grove's scores and I don't think they did too bad last year, surely they would be looking to stay up as high as they can.
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

They won their first two games of the season (against two of the four semi finalists), however only managed 1 more win from the remaining 7 games (against Grange who finished last).

Their batting was fairly average, too many heroes wanting to bat like Dave Warner.
Totals last season were:
152, 4/156 (second innings), 64, 101, 78, 116, 83, 157, 145, 5/81, 256, 180, 4/31, 102, 137 and 150

1 out of 16 over 180? Woeful.
No batsman made 250 for the year.

With the deck Golden Grove play on no wonder they struggled for runs. You wouldn't let kids play on it!

When we played them, they were 60 odd down with 60 overs remaining, and tried slogging their way to the front and got rolled for 90, we got the rem 30 and it wasn't even 4pm. Too many wanna be warners for sure.

**** me all you blokes must be superstars they way you are crapping on about Golden Grove. They are a good bunch of young guys who enjoy playing together. They havent had much success I agree but hopefully that can change. At least now they are getting the support of the football club and using the clubrooms. Some of you blokes should pipe down.

I take it you've never played a game vs them? Why do you think their coach left them this season?

Prob because they are the coaches sons and i have played a lot of games for them and was one of the guys who started the club. Captained them to a premiership in PDCA before they went to turf. First year of turf i think they were in A2 which was a shock from PDCA.
I haven't been there for a couple of years now and would be annoyed if they have turned into what u blokes say. Play on.

Couple of A graders I'm hearing as well can't reveal anything more than that. Coach and captain working overtime to sign recruits.
