I was thinking the same thing

I thought - oh they'll report from 'somewhere' in Queensland, but they're actually in the 'danger zones'.
Pretty silly really.

They just said something about bunking down in one of the hotels that is fully booked out and has food and water to cover several days.
But still.

People that ride bikes with their helmet dangling from the handlebars. Your invisible layer of cool isn't going to stop your head from splitting open on the pavement.

Probably because impending devestation and risk to life is a news programme's wetdream.

When the floods hit Brisi and daylight broke to reveal that the river wasn't awash with bodies you could hear and see the disappointment in the Sky news presenters and they almost instantly switched to the much more dramatic footage from the Brazilian landslides and practically ignored Qld from then on.

And yet in the real world, you are allowed to use a calculator for most day to day operations.

A fellow westies member did this yesterday and i don't understand it.

Terrible news...my best mate is really upset by the news, he'd had a beer with him on friday. Every time I ever went to westies he was there. All we can say/think is why?

Sydney - Spent the last 4 days there and unless you like people everywhere you go I just dont understand how you can like it, sure the Harbour is nice and I quite like down Cronulla way but overall I can never get used to it.

I used to feel the same about Melbourne but that has changed, reckon its a great city

Why on DEAL OR NO DEAL, the host (Andrew O'Keefe) asks the contestants what monetary value they have in their case and the contestants reply as though they think they have some sort of strong inkling whats in their case.

Just about every enviromental problem as well as famine, poverty etc in the world today stems from ever increasing OVER population and UNsustainable population Growth yet all levels of Goverment have one goal in mind and that is to increase population growth bcos it's good for the economy.

What i cant understand is how that they cant understand that this population growth is ultimately UNsustainable and every day it continues is to the detriment and destruction of the very world that we live in. :?

What on earth the attraction is with Sia Furler as a musician. No matter what song I hear of hers, it just thoroughly annoys me and leaves me thinking she is trying to be a Lady Gaga impersonator.
