Soooooo heard some very interesting news this evening down the gentleman's club whilst we were discussing world economics over a game of back Gammon, that the one and only Aliapte Carlie and his brother have signed at Port Districts for a F**ing stupid amount of money. None the less 2 massive signings. The Brother Anthony was at Sturt and South so no mug.
Maybe they are the success at Largs they've been searching for or may not.
Think his brother is coming from country league, not directly from SANFL. But that's second hand info, but im pretty sure he has played country since his South/Sturt days

Anthony played for us at Portland a couple years back but i cant remember exactly what points he attracted. Only played a handful of games. He then went o country as you said. I do think its 5 points for ex AFL but he did play SANFL last year so might be a different scenario. Anthony maybe lower number after being in the country league lat year. For some reason i'm also thinking he had some time off last year as well due to work. Could be wrong though.
Anthony played some games at Portland on a permit last year from Roxby or similar not sure how that affects points. Reasonably certain there is a rule re points that takes in to account the previous 2 years.

the delegates and morrel will be banning this one quick smart
there must be no marquee players in c9afl and we dont want crowds flocking to the games, the divs must facilitate no name players only! and div 1 must be equal to div 5,6 and 7 in talent calibre
Why? I am wrapped that the league can both ensure the sustainability and strategic direction for the sport *and* allow for elite talent in the upper echelons.
Maybe its just that Henley cant secure the stars??
