As well as Josh Kennedy, Dan Hannebery and Nick Smith who were all awarded with Swans life membership. It should be fitting that both Kennedy and Hannebery should finish top 2 in the Bob Skilton medal and be given life membership on the same night.

I like the decision of Kennedy becoming captain of the Swans, what I like more is that they now have just the one captain. I'm a traditionalist and believe that a team should only have the one main skipper. IMO having multiple captains is BS.
SYDNEY has been fined $20,000, with half of it suspended, for failing to disclose cortisone injections taken by Luke Parker and Lance Frankin during last year's finals series.
Parker and Franklin were both fined $5000 for not completing the required paperwork under the AFL's treatment rules.
According to the League, the Swans failed to keep and maintain a complete, accurate and up-to-date Register of Controlled Treatments in the AFL's Controlled Treatments Register.
The breach does not concern any WADA rules and all treatments used by the players were WADA approved.
In both cases, Franklin and Parker received anti-inflammatory treatment cortisone, a WADA-compliant treatment, but inadvertently failed to declare this as required by the rules.
"In this case, the AFL notes that the club doctor maintained his own thorough medical records of treatments legitimately provided to players," the AFL said in a statement.
"However, clubs must also maintain such records on the Controlled Treatments Register database to enable the AFL to proactively monitor industry trends and target test players as required.
"The AFL took into account that the club’s failure in this case was an oversight during an intense pre-and-post Grand Final period, and that the club otherwise had excellent medical procedures."
The AFL Treatment Rules were introduced in 2013 to go above and beyond the WADA Code and ensure the League can effectively monitor football related supplements and medications provided to AFL players.
Parker went into last year's Grand Final against the Western Bulldogs under an injury cloud after injuring the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the preliminary final against Geelong.
Franklin hurt his right ankle in the opening term of the premiership decider and was off the ground for five minutes receiving treatment.
The superstar forward, who was also battling a shoulder problem, returned to the field but was clearly limited throughout the majority of the match.
SUPERSTAR forward Lance Franklin will play his first game of the year against Greater Western Sydney in Friday night's JLT Community Series match at Blacktown.
Franklin had shoulder surgery in the off-season and has been cleared to return to the field after training fully with the Swans' main group over the past fortnight.
The three-time Coleman medallist played with the problem throughout last year's finals series, and although he still had his shoulder strapped on the training track on Monday morning, Franklin moved well and showed off his trademark agility in a sharp session involving a mixture of competitive and skills work.
Swans assistant coach Henry Playfair will take charge of the side against the Giants this week, and said Franklin was ready to go.
"It's good to have Buddy back," he said.
"His pre-season has been a little bit hampered but only in a contact sense. He's done the majority of the sessions, he's just had to be careful, and the other players have had to be careful not to injure the shoulder.
"He's been on board (with his rehabilitation) from day one and he's ticked every box along the journey, so it's been pretty seamless up until this point.
"He's got one training session to do (on Wednesday) and then it'll be good to see him out there."
Franklin is certain to return, along with Dane Rampe (hip) and Sam Naismith (shoulder), who also missed the Swans' opening round loss North Melbourne in Coffs Harbour on February 19.
Naismith has built up his training load over the past month after undergoing a shoulder reconstruction at the end of last season, and Playfair said both Naismith and Franklin were set to return at the perfect time.
"They're right on track. Ideally we wanted to get them enough minutes before round one and we'll get that with two games to come (in the JLT series)," he said.
"We're confident that they'll be able to play enough and be ready to go."
Aliir Aliir remains a slight chance to face the Giants but looks more likely to miss another game as he recovers from a toe injury, despite training solidly solidly on Monday, and doing extra fitness work after the main session had finished.
"Aliir will be touch and go," he said.
"Certainly the coaches are pushing for him (to play) but we'll work that out with the medical staff later in the week.

Isaac Heeney has been diagnosed with glandular fever. The Sydney Swans will likely be without Isaac Heeney for the start of the season.
The 20-year-old missed Friday night’s win over GWS with a virus, which has now been confirmed as glandular fever.
Swans Head of Football Tom Harley says Heeney will be out of action for at least a few weeks.
“Clearly this is disappointing news for us and for Isaac as he has had a terrific pre-season to date,” Harley said.
“However, Isaac is receiving the care and rest he needs so we’re confident he will return to play early in the season and I’ve no doubt he will make a solid contribution when he returns.”
Not necessarily. I had it in my early 20s and was ok after a month. I was not and still am not an elite athlete though. Other end of the spectrum, my mates sister had it and missed her entire yr 12 year and had to repeat.

He cant afford to go hard with it. Thats the problem, he will tire easily and the longer term effects can really cause issue.

Mills commits long term Sydney Swans Media 15 March 2017 6:40 PM
AFL Rising Star winner Callum Mills has committed to Sydney for the long term, inking a new five-year contract extension.
The QBE Sydney Swans Academy product, who had two years to run on his existing contract, will now be a Swan until at least the end of 2023.
Recruited with pick three in the 2015 AFL Draft, Mills made his debut in Round 1 the following year and instantly impressed.
Playing across halfback, Mills showed poise and maturity beyond his years, averaging 19 disposals and five marks from 22 games.
After a strong pre-season, the Swans’ No. 14 will be eyeing off an even bigger campaign in 2017.
Sydney’s Head of Football Tom Harley says he’s rapt that Mills has committed to the red and white.
“We are excited to have Callum commit to the club long term,” Harley said.
“Although Callum's career is only 12 months old, we are extremely confident of the impact he will make at our football club.
“He represents what we want to stand for on and off the field, and will continue to play a key role for us."
Mills follows fellow QBE Sydney Swans Academy player Isaac Heeney in recommitting to Sydney in 2017.
