Yes mate, any month with a "r" in it, ( September > April ) but the best time is after they have spawned and the weather is warm, they've just been spawning so in the next week or two they'll be on the feed and filling up with meat again.

Anywhere North of Henley or Grange jetties ( through to Largs ) either dawn or dusk and ideally when it's a big tidal movement.

I might be on Grange on Saturday morning around 5:00am if you're interested?

That's the time and location we had arrived at following some research, both on this forum and Google!
But we did load up on chicken necks for bait.....Until being informed otherwise....The cat and dog are happy.

Local tackle shop will have whiting or flathead heads in a bag for about $5, that will fill 2-3 nets and last you a morning.

Do not get snapper heads ( snapper eat crabs, as such crabs aren't too keen on snapper ) or salmon heads, they're not a favorite either.

Still get people using chicken carcasses, unfortunately I never see fisheries at the same time.

Went out yesterday, got 26 blueys and 20 good sized gar. One little snapper who wasn't legal.

8 of the blueys we got are as big as I have ever seen, they are massive, weighty and full of meat. Can't wait to smash a couple tonight.

While we had a good day, they're slowing down. Reckon this warm weather will help get them on the move again and the next couple of weeks will be about the end of what has been a bumper year for blueys.

First time staying in the "shack" that my old mans neighbour owns. From what I gather it is indeed a "shack", not the 4 bed / 3 bath that some people call their "shack". Should be interesting!

Finally a decent storm and blow to get the whiting on the bite. Hopefully we get a decent run of weather over the next few weeks so we can get some of the slippery critters.

Hoping things have finally turned. The dodge has come and gone, the wind is easing on the warmer days and we might be able to get out and get amongst it.

It’s been rather strange I was getting STs in autumn/winter in the
pat no weed growth . The warm winter helped
Now the Pat and west lakes is full of weed
Bring on the heat to kill off the weed

I may have forgotten the Friday was my birthday and I had everyone over Friday night for a BBQ and a fridge full of beer and.....well, my brother went out off O'Sullivan Beach ramp and got 4 squid and 1 flat head. Hard work, apparently.
