South Road 7/147 (Hartlett 63 not out, Krutli 41) defeated Keswick 10/136.

should be a really good day of cricket saturday at morphies.. played in really good spirits last week (which involved some amusing/harmless banter between bowler and batsmen) and with a big crowd coming this weekend should be a beauty... really looking forward to it.

[quote="CoverKing"]You talking first or second innings mate? Haha he was unbelievable that day. One of the best spells of bowling I've seen from a quicky in a long time.
I doubt diener would play due to his age. Krutli is definitely a good choice for keeper and the opening bat I think.
CoverKing, what does age have to do with a association side ?

I just don't think he will play. With the heat around, his son plays on Sunday and I assume he wants to watch him. Doubt he would play. That's what age has to with it IMO

Was going to be at Morphies, but the club is booked for another function, otherwise the feral supporters would be out in force again

I wouldn't think Hewett oval is a chance skittled. I don't personally have a problem with it and no doubt Hoppy would love to play there again he does like that deck

.

At last count there is 50+ "Ladies" heading out to watch the MPCC v PFCC game tomorrow.
Hoping this will distract the Plympton boys a little and aid Morphies in their run chase.
The oval has not been watered for a week, afternoon tea poisoned & cordial spiked.
It is Moe's first day at the club to watch cricket this season, so I apologise now to all for what may transpire.
I have brushed up on my sledging, chat up lines & had a haircut. The unfortunate thing is I will be entertaining sponsors as well, so we may be looking for new sponsors for 2012/13

Shall do. Reckon about 3.30 will be best, just before it turns from Ladies Day to drunken cat fight day.

Very important days cricket today for a lot of clubs with a few games in the balance. The ladder could look very different by tmrw morning especially if we pick up an outright which we will push for. Will be tough though against a good Keswick batting line up which got torn apart from an incredible Lourens spell last Saturday evening. The western youth boys may be a bit nervous if they don't get up today with a few of.their lads of on holiday soon. Tipping a thrilling last couple of rounds. Good luck all!!

Its great that at this stage in the season from second down no spot is really secure, and from 2 down is anybody's guess really, a few bad sessions could cost some clubs, and just the same a few good sessions could really be quite beneficial to some clubs finals chances.
