Police department talking a massive game today, protestors will be rubbing their hands with delight, they want confrontation and a fight.

I reckon they will target the professional protesters and lock em up

I was watching Miss Nicola from Romper Room last night

She is concerned that covid testing has dropped off and wants it to be 8,000 per day
I also read on the weekend that the common flu is practically non-existent in Australia this year

Now, the obvious question is: would you like symptoms with that or shall we just rotate through Miss Nicola?

I was told that each Covid test costs about $100 so that's ~$800,000 per day to Medicare (for SA only) if we did what she wants

At least we can now stand up and drink (otherwise known in SA Health as vertical drinking!) at the pub and dance (which always follows vertical drinking)

There is something seriously wrong with all of this if the above is all correct.
Grant Stevens must be shaking his head some nights when he gets home.

I'm not sure that she'd be up for that.

No I don't agree with you. I believe the lockdown has played havoc with mental health. How could it not?

This was also something that was a massive problem previously and this was only going to escalate in the current environment.

It's sad but I really don't know what can be done at the moment.

That being said, remember people speak up and try and find some help. Whilst we are mostly a bunch of wankers here, we can certainly listen if needed. And as you have seen, we don't really work at work so something is always around.[/quote]

Yes you are right Stan the stats are out there at certain stages thru Covid

Kids help line calls up 16%
Life line calls up 32%
Beyond Blue calls up 57%

But also the data now shows calls and interactions have stabilised to pre Covid numbers

Here is some pretty lengthy data.

For God sakes apachie, the quote has stuff the while thing now.

The police know most actual tradies will stay at home.and avoid this. There have been images so far of police in armoured vehicles patrolling the streets breaking up groups and firing tear gas. They have already split up one group of protesters.

The police tactics were clear from this morning. They know full well that Only the professional protesters and this 3rd party group that are currently operating and of course the die hard right wingers will come out for it. Hence you can expect plenty of force to be used today.

Does the same offer apply for getting the vaccinations? might help improve the uptake.

No you can't, you can only stand up and drink outside at a pub and you can only dance at a private function. (From tomorrow onwards)

Melbourne once ranked as The Most Livable City In The World.

Today Melbourne notches up another great record/milestone the city that has had the longest lockdown in the entire world ( 235 days ) eclipsing Buenos Aires.

Well done Comrade Dan.

Now I can understand why some of the sheep over the last few days have become restless and are rebelling.

Victorian Police haven't had this much fun since the "shoot first ask questions later" era in the '90s

WA is even more lax on COVID than Tassie, QR codes on the door of everything but not one person using them, no social distancing or restrictions on people numbers in small spaces (elevators etc), really is another world over there.

Coming from behind, plus wrapping arms, giving the player no chance to soften the impact
There was also a bit of Hawthorn colour in the impact
Ron Stennett (RIP) would have put the black cap on :Hangman:

In reality, that c*** should face serious charges.

Totally concur

What about the 70 year old last week pushed into the road. and then pepper sprayed.

Naturally the MSM stayed clear of this story.

In both cases tackled with out the ball.
