Bet it is.
Sydney are a decent drawing side in Melbourne.

And the winner doesn't meet Sydney till the GF, thank Christ for that, much better than a Prelim like last year. Things are looking good.

They'd still have a fair few old South Melbourne supporters

The AFL broke the sesson record set in 2011 with 5 games to spare. I can see it going up again next year with the new Perth stadium opening.

With a contrived fixture to exploit "blockbusters" what do you expect?
Richmond up and about, Adelaide top, Essendon in the finals race, Melbourne ( lol ) in the race for the 8...

Yep, 3 clubs passed the 1 million mark for attendances, in the end we missed out by 5k on topping Richmond but still a fair effort considering we just snuck into the 8.
Yesterday was the biggest crowd Freo had ever played infront of at Etihad, wonder if it will be another 9 years before we see them back

Wasn't really any chance of winning one of the on line tipping comps I'm in but wanted to share the bloke who came from miles back to win. Finished the season off with from round 19 onwards 8,9,9,8,8 to win by one.

I'm missing something here, how do Sydney have a double chance?

SEN just mentioned that the Reg Grundy & the Swans have called a press conference for 1pm today. Apparently Reg will be retiring at season's end. Is there any truth to this? Surely not. Would certainly free up some space in the cap

Not the end of the world if he goes. But I think he has been exceptional for us. Rate him very highly
