Great career. We have had some cracking glove men in the last 20 years.

His batting in the last ashes at home was insane. Saved us so many times.

Dont put Haddin and cracking gloveman in the same sentence!
A decent batsman come shortstop at best.

you dont get 270 test dismissals if you are average, no matter how good a batsman you are.

Everyone would agree he isnt as good as Gilchrist, Healy or Marsh, but they are also the only australians ahead of him on the dismissals list.

I reckon he would lead the list of missed chances though :D
I do find dismissals a rather useless stat though as 90% of chances are regulation catches that any keeper would take. The bowlers do the hard work to get the edge so dismissals are determined by how good your bowling attack is

Agree, i reckon if we kept to McGrath and Gillespie i might have accidentally caught a couple, doesn't mean im better than Ludeman who will never play for Aus.

I have man love for Gilly and I'm not a massive fan of Haddin but I reckon Hadds was better behind the stumps than Gilly, Gilly's amazing batting nulled any flaws in his glovework IMO.
It's much easier to get dismissals as a keeper with McGrath, Dizzy and Warnie finding edges on a regular basis.

Haddins been a great player for Australia. Got us out of the sh*t many times.
He has taken the game from us in a losing position to us actually winning.
Very underestimated as a good cricket brain and leader as well.
Unfortunately its hard to get past dropping root.

Also probably didn't matter that much if he dropped one because another edge was coming in 2 overs anyway.
