Unfortunately, no. Stringer went to the Bays in 1983, so that's the earliest it could've been. I'm thinking pre-1985/86, but could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure it was round 16 1986 at Prospect. As Stringer was running off the field after the final siren, a North supporter got in his face & may have shoved him. Stringer IIRC gave him a quick jab & simply kept running off. Surely someone has footage?

You're probably right. Remember the game quite well, big crowd of around 10,000. Bays got over the line by 8 points IIRC after North kicked the last 3 goals of the match, including an Antrobus snap over his head in the goal-square. Recall seeing Sticks Kernahan in the crowd as well.

Thats how footy was back then, all our clubs had some blokes that would land them. Between the Stringers and Salisbury, the Bays had their share of top shelf snipers. They got the last laugh in 85 and 86 though and I guess thats all that matters.

We'd lost a few too mate, Antrobus, Phillips, Campbell, Robertson, Wayne Carey, etc. I'm pushing it a bit with Wayne Carey though considering he played in our Under 17s premiership in 87

I was thinking Wayne Carey was a stretch in 87.... I do recall when the Duck got to the ressie's, our coach Trevor Hill played him out of a back pocket... Didn't rate him at all! One on you list at about that time Wedge to have headed to Melbourne was Billy Lokan.
