At the last WC 2 years ago Afghanistan finished 4th and were beaten by us in the semis. Saffers finished 5th after being knocked out in the quarters. Saffers are hosting it this year though so a good win by the Afghans

Add to that the Starc Ashes omission & dropping Head for the fifth Ashes test when they should’ve won 3-1 over there.

I think Starc sitting out the Birmingham test was a good choice but agree with the rest of the above.
